Ah Mui Beef Noodle is one of the favourite delicacies in Kuching, Sarawak.It served with beef's meat & a bowl of beef soup with taugeh & a special chili sauce.
Ng Thain Mui, also known as Ah Mui, Teochew, was the 1st beef noodle seller before it continued by his childrens and grandchildrens. He is a Martell lover. He has 11 childrens and was born in China. In the year of 1950's, he travelled down to Nanyang with his mother and work as a rickshaw before he came to Kuching, Sarawak.
In Kuching, he own a restaurant at Carpenter Street and after that he sold off the restaurant and decided to start his beef noodle business at Open Air Market. He passed away when he was 80 years old.
Eventhough he has passed away, the beef noodle business is still continued by all of his sons and grandchildrens. You can find several stalls or outlets in Kuching such as (Ying Wah Yeun Coffee Shop at Nanas Road), (Open Air Market, Khoo Hun Yeang Street) (3rd Mile wet market 1st floor), (Foody Goody Cafe,Tabuan Stutong), (Kubah Ria), (BDC) & (RH Plaza).
Not only noodle, they also serve 'Kueh Tiaw', 'Bee Hoon' and 'Mee Pok' and of course the beef soup. It's a delicious dish which you can't resists to try it out...
